A great weekend event in Louisiana
If you're in the Natchitoches Louisiana area this weekend (Easter weekend), spend the day listening to some Cigar Box Guitar Music. I will be playing a few tunes as well as helping make some Cigar Box Instruments with some Junior Rangers. We will be there from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cane River Creole National Park Service will host its annual Junior Ranger Day event on Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Oakland Plantation. Step back in time at Oakland Plantation and enjoy activities and crafts while learning about the past. Kids can make a Cigar-Box Instrument with special guest Mike Snowden. Oakland Plantation is located at 4386 Hwy. 494 in Natchez, Louisiana, just 12 miles south of Natchitoches. For more information call 318-356-8411. Event is free and open to the public
